Rotary Crockmeter TF412
The Rotary Crockmeter is a versatile tool used to assess material damage and surface color transfer resulting from dry or wet abrasion. It’s commonly used to determine the color fastness of textiles, as well as shoe upper materials such as leather, plastic, and textiles. The machine can also evaluate the fastness of printed lettering on the surface of shoes to rubbing.
During the test, a round wool felt (dry or wet) is pressed against the sample with a fixed weight, and the wool felt is rotated to rub the sample. After a predetermined number of rubbings, the extent of discoloration on the samples is measured against a standard gray card. This reliable method offers accurate and consistent results.
